Does Anyone Know How to Bustle the Dress? Or How to Spell Bustle? :)

At my first "final" fitting, the seamstress asked "Why didn't you bring someone with you to learn how to bustle the dress?" Because I have no idea what I'm doing, lol.

This put me into a slight panic, since my mother lives 2 hours away, my sister lives 5 hours away, Michelle lives 100 billion miles away (or so it seems,) and Kelly is always really busy. What are the chances Kelly would have time in the next like 2 weeks to go to the shop with me?

I told my mother my predicament and a few hours later I received a message from my sister: she would love to come to the shop with me! Phew, lol. Crisis averted! Yay for having such a helpful sister! :)

My appointment was scheduled for Saturday morning, so Katie spent the night Friday. We had a taco feast for dinner - literally a feast. Ryan and I had leftover tacos for several more meals that week, lol. (The dangers of grocery shopping while hungry ... )

The appointment went well. The seamstress takes this very seriously, which I suppose she has to. She'd show Katie how to do something and then she'd say "Now you try it yourself. I won't watch."

"Am I suffocating you?" Katie kept asking, as she laced up the back of the dress. (She wasn't.) Then, the seamstress walked back in, assessed, and then yanked the laces really tight, lol.

Bustling seems to be quite a process, so thank goodness Katie was there. I think she might be the only one among us capable of remembering something like that, lol.

I tried to convince her to join us for lunch afterward, but she wanted to get on the road heading back home. I feel like a terrible hostess, sending her off with no food!

Thank you Katie!!! :)
