The folks at the Crazy Venue never really responded to my inquiries, except for one phone call after my mother spoke sternly to them, so clearly they were not going to work out as a location. You'd think I would then go find a nice, normal location for the wedding, right?
Instead, I searched and found: Crazy Venue II
These people are much more responsive. Yesterday I went out and actually saw the boat - yes the boat - where we would be getting married. The good news is that I did not get hopelessly lost in DC traffic despite driving at rush hour. I also was not late to work that day, even though I had to run back upstairs after forgetting to put on my ring. Oops. I had to go back to get it - I couldn't show up to discuss my wedding with no ring!!! lol.
Anyway. I liked what I saw. And though I still think I'm crazy, all systems are go at this point.
We are getting married at Crazy Venue II on Saturday June 11, 2011.
